Alok’s work explores themes of trauma, belonging, and the human condition. Last year, Alok headlined the New York Comedy Festival, and this year, they headlined Just For Laughs Vancouver and performed Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Alok is the author of ’Beyond The Gender Binary’, released in 2020, and poetry books ‘Femme In Public’ from 2017 and ‘Your Wound / My Garden’ from 2021.
Recently Alok wrapped ‘Absolute Dominion’ from Netflix/Blumhouse and has appeared in Jonathan Van Ness’s ‘Getting Curious’ docu-series, HBO late-night sketch series ‘Random Acts Of Flyness’ and documentary ‘The Trans List’.
