Brisbane Pride’s Pride Party Set To Sashay The Rain Away This Weekend

Due to adverse weather conditions in Brisbane, Brisbane Pride has made the decision to postpone the Rally, March and Fair Day events to early November.

The three events will now take place on 7 November, but in the meantime, the organisers have managed to pull together something everyone can look forward to regardless of rainy days.

The party is moving to a free event this Saturday (24 October) at the iconic Wickham Hotel, with ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under’ stars Vybe and Coco Jumbo, ready to serve up plenty of pride.

“Mother Nature might have thrown us a curveball, but she hasn’t rained on our parade! We might be postponing Fair Day, but we’re not postponing Pride,” Brisbane Pride President James McCarthy says.

“We’re bringing the party to the Wickham, where Vybe and Coco Jumbo will be turning up the glamour. So grab your friends, and get ready to sashay away from the rain! Pride is about community, connection and celebrating who we are. The weather might be gloomy, but our Pride is anything but. The party goes on, the queens are ready, and the rain won’t dampen our Pride!”

Brisbane Pride thanks the community for its understanding, and is looking forward to bringing everyone together for a fabulous celebration at The Wickham.

Pride Party is on at The Wickham Hotel (Brisbane) 24 October from 3pm. Brisbane Pride Rally, March and Fair Day will now take place on 7 November.
