The theme embodies a commitment to inclusivity, acceptance and optimism, celebrating past achievements while illuminating the path to a dazzling future.

“‘Our Future…’ is not just a theme but a call to action, a bold invitation to define and shape our path forward as a community. It acknowledges our past, but encourages us to envision what comes next," Acting CEO of Sydney Gay And Lesbian Mardi Gras Gil Beckwith says.

"It's a statement that is open to interpretation and engagement, irrespective of geographical location or physical attendance. It's our collective journey and story to share.”

‘Our Future…’ is brought to life through a mesmerising creative campaign, reimagining iconic tarot cards to honour local LGBTQIA+ legends. Each card captures the essence and diversity of queer communities, and the chosen community members offer a blend of past recognition and, of course, a vision for the future.

The members are trailblazers, from HIV+ campaigners to trans and gender-diverse icons.

‘Our Future…’ encourages participation, influence, and a want to champion LGBTQIA+ causes. It’s a chance to look forward, while also honouring the past, and is about collective ownership and the power to manifest endless possibilities.
