Across its dynamic 2022 season, Adelaide Fringe will present more than 1,000 events across more than 350 venues, showcasing the biggest festival in the Southern Hemisphere for 31 days and nights in February and March.

Festival ambassadors include comedians Nazeem Hussain and Diana Nguyen.

The worldwide premiere of 'Sky Song' at Adelaide Showgrounds is a first-of-its-kind drone art show, incorporating hundreds of drones flying in majestic formations during narration from Archie Roach. This will be one of Fringe's major highlights, taking audiences on a journey of technology, First Nations stories, music and poetry.

Also ready to be marvelled at is 'Electric Dreams', a festival of immersive storytelling exploring the lines between art and technology. You can experience VR swings on the lawns of the South Australian Museum, or cycle through the streets with Blast Theory's Rider Spoke.

Those in regional South Australia locations such as Victor Harbour, Murray Bridge, Waikerie, Naracoorte and Kingston S.E will be given a taste of the festivities too, in a two-hour spectacular of family-friendly entertainment and culture.

While Adelaide Fringe always strives to celebrate the inventiveness and talents of the arts community, 2022's event will also recognise the resilience of those artists who have done it tough over the last 18 months due to COVID-19.

“Fringe time sees people out and about immersed in the arts, enjoying all that our wonderful state has to offer, while also supporting local businesses,” SA Premier Steven Marshall says. “This world-class event continues to deliver cultural, social and economic benefits for South Australia, creating jobs for artists. We are proud to host the Adelaide Fringe right here in our own backyard.”
