Tropical Fruits Focuses On Family For The New Year

Category is. . . Family!

Tropical Fruits

The Tropical Fruits New Years Festival is a four-day LGBTQIA+ celebration and this year it's all about coming together to celebrate family, whether it's the one you've been born into, or one you've created. It's an event with the slogan 'Fun, Safe & Inclusive', so it's bound to be a party where all can feel welcome.

It all kicks off with a fabulous street parade through the Lismore CBD finishing at Lismore City Hall, with the Opening Soiree.

Festival events include three main parties (New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, and New Year's Day Recovery). Headliners Kitty Glitter and DJ Blacklow (both direct from the USA), Queen Of Hearts (Berlin), and DJ Joelby (fresh from the UK) will showcase their talents. The NYE party will include four fabulous dance floors, so there will be plenty of room to cut shapes. There will also be cabaret performances and displayed works of queer artists in the art exhibition.

Parties will rage on until the wee hours with these and many more of some of the best DJs Australia has to offer including Sandi Hotrod, Colin Gaff, DJ Ruby in the Dome and many, many more.

This is a New Year's Eve about culture and a community which has risen from the hardships cemented in the Stonewall riots 50 years ago to become one of love, inclusion, tolerance, and support of each other.

So get together, form a Haus, and decide which category you want to show off. This is the perfect opportunity to work it, and strut your stuff!

The Tropical Fruits New Years Festival is on from 29 December-1 January at Lismore Showgrounds.
