Artemis V has used the avenue of music to express and connect to his feelings, and he’s hoping audiences and music fans will enjoy the work. He’ll be holding an EP launch at Brisbane’s The End Bar, which will also double as a fundraiser for Artemis’ gender-affirming top surgery.
The launch will also feature music from two other queer artists, Kat Flowers and Chelle.
“Writing and producing this EP has been cathartic and scary. It’s been an act of self love,” Artemis says. “There’s parallels to my gender transition – figuring out who I am in private, being afraid to be myself, being afraid I won’t be acceptable to others, to realising that hiding doesn’t feel like living.”
“Two amazing artists are supporting me on the night – Chelle (a soul queen) and Kat Flowers (a folk angel). I am so honoured to have them playing, they are incredible people and musicians, and I can't wait for you to hear them.”
Tickets are on sale now.
‘I Love You Very Much’ is out on 15 September. The EP launch/fundraiser takes place at The End (Brisbane) on 20 September.
