Groundbreaking LGBTQIA+ Series Invisible Boys Hitting Stan In February

‘Invisible Boys’, an emotional tale of individuality and belonging adapted from the award-winning novel by Holden Sheppard, will hit Stan this February.

'Invisible Boys'

The ten-part Stan Original Series has been written for the screen, by a team of queer writers. It’s raw and authentic, depicting facets of gay sexuality which are often overlooked.

‘Invisible Boys’ is set against the backdrop of the 2017 same-sex marriage plebiscite. It explores the challenges faced by a group of gay teens in the remote coastal town of Geraldton, Western Australia. . . After one of them is outed on social media following an encounter with a married man.

In a world often rendering them invisible, the group form a tight-knit friendship and find solace and support in one another.

The cast is made up of emerging Australian talent Joseph Zada, Aydan Calafiore, Zach Blampied and Joe Klocek, alongside Pia Miranda and David Lyons. Also featured are Shareena Clanton, Myles Pollard, Elaine Crombie, Hayley McElhinney, Steve Le Marquand, Khan Chittenden, Mercy Cornwall, Jamie Ward, Joanna Tu, Olivia Nardini, Jade Baynes, Luke Jai McIntosh, James Edward Bingham, and James Rock.

“So pumped to tell you this series absolutely does justice to my book,” Holden Sheppard says on social media. “These phenomenally talented actors all knock it out of the park with superb performances, every single one, all bringing my characters to life in a way I could have only ever dreamed of!”

‘Invisible Boys’ is written and directed by Logie and AACTA Award-winning creator/director Nicholas Verso.
